Located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, Woodwork is the brainchild of Chef Ross Greenberg, a Prospect Heights resident who wanted to build a sexy soccer bar serving foodie and footie fanatics alike. Partner Mathew Pozzi, known as the "sexy by night" side of Woodwork helped Greenberg's dream become a reality. Futbol is played amongst every culture and in every neighborhood and this beautiful game has always been a big part of New York City. Brooklyn-raised sports caster Howard Cossell was quoted in 1977 as saying, "Soccer will be the biggest big league of all." Due to satellite television and the slow "flattening" of global culture, it's no surprise that Greenberg chose to bring his vision of soccer culture, food and wine to the borough that has loved the beautiful game. Futbol plays seven days a week on 3 50-inch high-definition televisions. During big games, you'll hear fans cheering "I love futbol, yay futbol!...I love beer...Hooray beer!" Woodwork boasts a menu with ingredients that are as local and organic as possible. The menu also includes top wines originating from many of the great futbol nations in the world, including Italy, France, Spain, Argentina, Chile, South Africa and the United States. Woodwork has one of the most original beer selections in BK and nearly 30 whiskeys.
Woodwork promotes healthy living for it's patrons and community by using sustainable products to preserve the environment; most products are recycled, environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. Woodwork's eco-friendly bar is made of recycled oak floorboards, salvaged from a 100+ year old dairy farm in Western Massachusetts Woodwork pledges to work with local farmers who are dedicated to humanely raising and handling animals, as well as serving food that is free of corn products, hormones and anything that diminishes the nutritional value of the fresh menu items.
